Michael Ma has made the decision to cross the aisle and join the Liberal Party. This move marks a significant shift in his political alignment and is expected to have an impact on the party’s dynamics. It raises the questions of why this is allowed, and shines a light on real feelings of buyers’ remorse from all the Markham residence who feel betrayed as their Conservative vote has now been wasted, and diverted to the Liberals. The Liberals are now only one seat away from having a majority government. A petition for Michael Ma’s resignation has been signed by over 20,000 people. Many are suggesting that an election should automatically be called in the case of a member of parliament crossing the isle to join another party. People who voted for Michael Ma were voting for the Conservative Party, not the Liberals, and it seems unfair that a person can do this. At this point, there are more questions than answers, and we hope the real intentions behind this move with be discovered.
